Our Mission
Arterial fosters informative, inspiring and entertaining stories about American creative culture. Our vision is a country where creative culture and artists are as popular as sports and athletes.

About Us
Arterial Is Driven
By Three Core Tenets:
Artists are
vital to society
Artists drive
the economy
Artists have
untold stories.
Our Insight
Arterial draws its lifeblood from the vast untapped, overlooked, and neglected mass of artistic expression not found in formal settings typically the subject of philanthropy.
Artistic practice and arts consumption occur at every tier of society and in every form requiring creative expression. Arterial seeks to amplify this dynamic in what can best be described as democratization of art.
Goals and Outcomes
Our work aims to inspire, inform, and entertain a general audience about the world of art. Our impact will consist of three fundamentals:
- Promote artists and their work
- Augment public arts education
- Support the creative economy
Our Programs
Arterial’s work comprises film, television, podcasting, radio, publishing, activations and events.
As a 501(c)3 organization, our goal is not financial profit. Our goal is enduring positive social impact for the commonwealth.
Arterial is based in Los Angeles with operations in New York City and Asheville, NC.
Arterial is inspired by three key insights:
Public funding For the arts is Under Threat
Artists Want More exposure For their Work
People value the creative arts as vital
Arterial's Vision
Arterial’s vision is to make the creative arts more accessible with programs that entertain, inform and inspire people.
Our intent is to demystify the art world, humanize artists and amplify art with important stories that would likely go untold by traditional media companies due to commercial concerns.
We collaborate with top artists, creators, writers and producers with unique voices and stories.
Our Origin Story
Arterial has been decades in the making. Our founder Scott “Sourdough” Power has worked in the creative arts since 1988, holding several key leadership positions throughout his career.
Watching gifted artists inspire millions of people while contributing trillions to the global economy, Power imagined Arterial as a modern entertainment media platform dedicated exclusively to amplifying human creativity.
Our Impact
Arterial has the potential to become the most trusted, preferred source of contemporary stories and content about human creativity and the arts in America. And we’re already making an impact. In our first year 2024, we accomplished the following:
Grants
Arterial awarded a $12,000 grant to the producers of a fascinating art documentary, The Underbelly Project, allowing them to finish the movie and premier it during Miami Art Week 2024.
Fiscal Partnerships
Arterial provided SoCal PBS and the producers of its Emmy Award winning television series Artbound financial support to to host premier events for their new 2024 fall season. And, Austin PBS has expressed interest in airing Arterial content.
Strategic Partnerships
Arterial formed a strategic partnership with independent distributor Random Media based in L.A. who will ensure Arterial’s stories will be available on streaming platforms.
And, we acquired a digital platform celebrating American contemporary arts and crafts called ArtsvilleUSA.com.
Sponsorships
Arterial granted Steinway artist Rickey Pageot a fiscal sponsorship for his educational program and documentary movie Classic Black celebrating black excellence in Classical music.
Acquired sponsorship rights to the Not Real Art podcast network with 6 podcasts and over 300 hours of audio programming in visual arts, music and comedy.
Leadership
Arterial’s leadership combines decades of experience in the arts, media, and intellectual property law.
